Change Agent Network relies on the generosity of those living in the United States to provide a Christ-centered tuition-free education for children who live in abject poverty in Liberia, Africa.  Many families we serve struggle to feed their children and are not in a position to pay the fees required to attend Liberian public schools.   Our primary vehicle for providing this cost-free education is a teacher sponsorship program.

 While 2011 brought numerous achievements, it also brought new challenges.  In September 2011 we opened a new school building and added grades 7 – 11 which required us to employ 23 additional staff members.  While some of the new teachers had sponsors, many did not.  In addition, several original teachers took on new responsibilities and received raises at the start of the school year.  This has caused a deficit in our teacher’s salary account.  Please note that every dollar donated goes directly to the teacher or staff member, we do not deduct overhead or administrative expenses. 

While last year’s sponsorship ran for a calendar year, we are shifting the program to coincide with the school year so we are not impacted by unsponsored staff and salary changes that occur over the summer.   The amounts shown in the “Sponsorship Through June 2012” column vary among teachers since some were sponsored through December 2011 and others were not.   

Since we are shifting the program to a school year basis, we will email sponsors over the summer to discuss renewing your sponsorship before reaching out to new sponsors.

Sponsorships may be paid with lump sum or monthly payments.  We will also happily accept a donation of any amount to support this program.  In order to cash flow payroll, we need to receive the full amount of the sponsorship by the first of June.  Payments may be made by credit card through the Pay Pal link below:
